Status of Research Projects

The College actively encourages faculty to pursue integrated and large-scale research projects, such as academic technology projects, industry-academia collaboration initiatives, and national-level programs. In recent years, most research funding has been concentrated in the fields of environmental sustainability, energy technology, functional materials, and intelligent systems. These areas account for approximately 80% of the college's total project funding, with the largest proportion allocated to energy and environmental projects.
Faculty research funding constitutes nearly 90% of the college's total funding sources, demonstrating a steady growth trend. Over the past five years, the average annual project funding for the College of Engineering has been approximately NT$470 million, with an average of NT$4.3 million per faculty member annually.
