 The Institute aims to cultivate students with professional knowledge and ability to become either professional energy engineers or researchers. Research focuses include:
● Green energy: photovoltaic components and systems,wind energy, biomass energy, solid-state lighting;
● Energy storage: proton exchange membranes and solid oxide fuel cells, technologies relating to lithium batteries and hydrogen storage;
● Energy saving and harvesting technologies: LEDs, OLEDs, PVs, heat exchanger, organic Rankine cycle, refrigeration and air-conditionings, green building technology;
● Carbon reduction: sustainable clean coal gasification and CO2 capture technologies.
