🎉 Congratulations! 🎉 Professors Kuan-Wen Wang, Wei-Hsuan Hung, and Sheng-Wei Li from the Institute of Materials Science and Engineering at National Central University have led their team to victory in the "TECO Net-Zero Emission Technology International Competition", winning the Shengyi Energy-Saving Innovation Award! 🏆👏

A Prestigious Global Competition

The 2024 Net-Zero Emission Technology International Competition @ Taiwan, co-hosted by National Taiwan University and the TECO Technology Foundation, has set a new benchmark with a dual-track competition:
🔹 Main Competition
🔹 International Competition, co-organized with the Association of Pacific Rim Universities (APRU)

This year’s competition drew an unprecedented number of participants, with:
🌍 99 teams from the U.S., Denmark, India, Indonesia, Sri Lanka, Malaysia, and more in the international category
🌏 141 teams from 13 countries, submitting 240 projects
👨‍🎓 998 international students and faculty members competing for a total prize pool of NTD 6.5 million

NCU’s Award-Winning Innovation

Among 240 competing projects, only 20 teams advanced to the final round. The NCU Materials Science team stood out with their project:

🔹 "Development of a High-Efficiency, Integrated Hydrogen Production System for Multiple Processes"

🏆 5th Place – Shengyi Energy-Saving Innovation Award
💰 Prize Money: NTD 200,000
